New Mount and Blade Warband Guide PDF

I have spent a lot of time playing Mount and Blade Warband this week and many of the players on this site also play it these days. Some have played it a lot longer than me, others are just getting in to it. But several questions keep coming up so I have decided to add a Mount and Blade Section to this site and start writing guides for it.

The first is a Mount and Blade Warband: New Players Guide.

The guide covers everything you need to know to get started in the game but none of the advanced stuff. The advanced topics deserve their own guides.

Foundation V1.3.4 Released PDF

The Foundation V1.3.4 for Fallout 3 has been released and is available in our download area. This release addresses an odd issue that prevents some foundation quests from running when they are supposed too. And adds an option to the War Room that allows you to return to the top menu and select items again just in case the first selection fails. I found Fallout 3 is not very friendly in this area and contains a number of bugs that can break the foundation mod. Hopefully this will work around one of those issues.

Fallout 3 has a number of other built in bugs which I cannot avoid including the "lets all gather at the dinner area" bug and the "if we stand perfectly still perhaps the player will not see us" bug.

If you suffer from those, quit Fallout 3 and reload, but be warned, when those issue start appearing, its usually not long before they appear again. I suspect its related to fragged memory so try a cooled boot eg turn off the computer for 2 minutes then reboot.

Fallout 3 Mod Releases PDF

The Foundation Mod V1.3.3 and the Waysted_Container Respawn Mod V1.1 have been released. Both deal with the Biotech research problems.

Fallout 3 has a lot of bugs even now, and one of them is related to the Navmesh, it causes NPCS to stand in a corner or disappear entirely. The Navmeshes are simply mixed up with other cells navmeshes so some funky stuff happens.

Well the Dr in the Foundation fell prey to that issue and used to disappear on a regular basis. So I have removed the AI packages that allowed her to visit the pub and the shop. Now she will remain in the Clinic Cell, if she disappears now its because the Navmesh bug has her and you will have to reload and hope the bug corrects it self as I usually have to do.

Btw when you see all the NPCs stood in the corner of the diner, that's the Navmesh bug in fallout 3 doing that.

The Waysted Container Respawn mod has also been updated and now marks common containers that are not set to respawn as NR (meaning No Respawn). So next time you think to your self, I wish i could use this little shack in the wasteland as a new home for my character, you can. Any containers you are safe to use will be marked NR now.

Also the First aid boxes how have a 50% chance of spawning an item needed by the Foundation Bio Tech Quest. I know the items can be hard to find because they do not appear on respawnable items usually so this corrects that problem.
