About the Voice Actors Guild.
Introduction
The Engineering Guild established a Voice Actors Guild on its forums back in 2009 for any player that wanted to get involved in voice work for mods on a strictly amateur basis. These days voice work is useful for all sorts of protects but modding remains our primary role.
To join it you have to register on the forum it self, not the website. Then you will be able to use the Voice Actors Guild forum and get involved. Once you have registered, you can ask questions, ask for help with your setup or join in various projects or fun events.
Experience is less important to us than reliability because we have found reliability is the thing most voice actors with experience lack. So do not worry if you have no experience, you are still welcome here.
The Voice Actor Guild helps players set up their mics in order to get the best out of them, advises on recording software and runs special fun events to help everybody practice their voice work.
Voice work is useful for Mods, Lets Play Videos and a whole host of stuff. It is often a fun hobby to get in to and many people later invest in better mics to get more out of their hobby. Typically they start out with what ever they have available.
If you are new to the Guild, start by reading our sticky post "What is expected of new voice actors" in the Voice Actors Guild Forum. It will tell you everything you need to know about the Guild and our expectations and requirements.
