Tribes is one of the original combined arms multiplayer games that took first person shooters out of the Doom and Quake style play in to fast action, multi vehicle, high octane multiplayer genre. Attacking from the air by land or using any number of personal armour settings.

Tribes really was a ground breaking series but its not had much luck despite being very good.

A few days ago Tribes Ascend appeared on Steam as a Free to Play game after being released back in April under the free to play model else where.

Here is the IGN review of the game.

Since Tribes has always been a great series despite its back luck. I am giving it a nod here at the guild and recommending any multiplayer fans out there give it a whirl.

Keep in mind this game is about attacking and defending, those who like to defend can tank up and wait for the enemy to come to you.
