I would like to introduce you to a feature of the Skyrim Overhaul that should show you how I planned to add more depth to the NPCs you encounter and how I plan to make the world a more interesting place other than by just randomizing spawns.
"Malacaths Chosen" are Orc Warriors between level 5 and level 6o that are basically looking to die in glorious battle in Malacaths name. So they are entirely unfriendly, also I intend to allow these to spawn at any time. So you may get a level 5 Chosen one, or level 60 at any time. The Chosen one will get less glory for killing you at level 1 when he is level 60, it will not stop him doing it :)
These are very much like Orc Heroes and like the orcs you see looking for a glorious death at the side of most roads except these are not normal orcs, they are former chiefs. And they have equipment that most players would envy early on. The better the armour, the higher their level, is if your level 10 and one approaches you in Dragon Armour.... RUN!
This is the background story of a group of orc warriors I have called "Malacaths Chosen", they will be replacing the Generic Orc Hunters in the default game that made no sense at all in my opinion.
Tell me what you think when you have read this.
The Orc Chieftain sat outside his hut looking at his three best warriors training in the distance, this was the future of his outpost he was looking at, yet none of the three had what it takes to be chief of the tribe.
One was Brave, One was Smart, One was Strong but all where selfish and considered only them selves. Before any of these 3 challenged him for the position of chief he has to make sure one of the three was Strong enough to keep the others at bay, Brave enough to defend the Outpost and Smart enough to outwit his enemies. The chief looked down, shaking his end, it was useless, none of his braves where up to the task and the first one that beat him would lead the Tribe to ruin.
The Chief stood up, told his warriors he was going on a hunt alone and left the Outpost.
After walking for several hours the Chieftain stopped and sat on a rock, laid back and started to doze in the sun.
After a while the Chieftain started to dream of 3 Warriors, each wanting to challenge him to become the next Chief. The chief awoke a few hours later, knowing what he must do and returned to the outpost.
The Chief grabbed his Battleaxe resting it on the floor with his hand on the hilt, then looked at the three warriors. "I have the favour of Malacath, who amongst you is smart enough, brave enough and strong enough to take Malacaths favour away from me and become the next chief".
The Chieftain spoke to the first warrior, you are not smart enough to be chief. With that the first warrior stepped forward as if to proof him and was floored easily by the old Chief.
Then the chief spoke to the second warrior, you are not strong enough to be chief. With that the second warrior walked around the chief looking for a weakness, but was surprised by a sudden burst of speed on the chiefs part that also left him floored.
Finally Chief spoke to the last warrior and said, you are not brave enough to be chief. The last warrior picked up a large rock to throw it at the chief, but the chief just dropped his Battleaxe on the warriors foot and the stone fell on the warriors head and flooring him too.
Looking down at all 3 warriors laying on the floor, the chief spoke again, before you can become chief, you must be Brave, Smart and Strong. I banish you from this Outpost, do not return until you are all these things. With that the Chief walked back in to his hut as the 3 warriors packed up their things and headed out in to the world alone.
Many weeks passed before the first of the brave warriors returned with a bears head and plenty of meat for the tribe. The chief spoke, you have learned to be smart, you make a good hunter but your still not strong enough to lead this tribe.
The following week the second warrior returned, he was dragging a captured giant behind him. The Chief Spoke, you have learned to be Strong, but your still not brave enough to lead this tribe.
Finally the last warrior returned, he was the strongest one of the three but not the bravest or the smartest. He was carrying large Warhammer the chief had not seen before and behind him was Mage.
The Chief asked, who is the Mage and the Warrior replied. The Mage is my Shaman, he is wise and shares his wisdom with me.
Then Chief then asked and about the Warhammer, and the Warrior said, This is magical weapon made for my by my Shaman, it strikes fear in to my enemies. One hit from this and I will be braver than you. With that the third warrior charged at the Chief, hitting him across the skull with his new Warhammer, the chief fell to the floor, shaking, his battleaxe raised to shield him from the death blow. The third warrior prepared to kill the old chief when suddenly a voice boomed out from the Tribes Totem "Stop".
Then Totem spoke again "This Chief has served me well and will be spared, but his time is past".
The Orc of the Outpost bowed as the voice of Malacath echoed around the outpost from the Tribes Totem.
Malacaths continued "You have done well young warrior, you have learned to be Smart, Strong and Brave, it is now your time to be chief of this tribe"
The old Chief stood before the Totem, like a true warrior waiting for judgement.
Malacaths voice said softly "My friend, you are the bravest and smartest of them all, but sadly no longer the strongest, for this reason you may not continue as chief. It is time to leave this place with your head held high, honour intact". Part of the old chief was sad it was over but part of him was eager to begin his next journey.
Mean while the rest of the tribe walked away with the new chief leaving the old chief to gather his thoughts and his things before he left.
Once he was alone by the Totem, Malacath Spoke again, more quietly this time so only the old chief could hear him.
"My friend, you are now one of my Chosen Ones. Your task is to seek out my enemies and destroy them. How you do this is up to you but I will be watching and should you distinguish your self in the battles you fight and the death you earn, I will make you one of my Champions in my Realm when death finally finds you."
Grabbing his Weapons and Armour, the Chosen one headed out of the outpost gate, without looking backing, he grasped his weapon in both hands, rested it on his shoulder and walked off in the wilderness. Never to be seen again by his former tribe.
In the years that followed the new chief of the outpost would hear stories of a brave, strong and smart Orc Warrior that had defeated enemies against impossible odds. He envied this warriors glory and honour and wished he him self free of thisChieftains position so he could pursue such glory too. But Malacath has made him chief, this was where he must stay, duty and honour bound to protect the outpost.
But perhaps one day Malacath would grant him his freedom so he too may take out great numbers of enemy and earn such glory and honour for him self.

As always, an idea/concern. It is your mod, and you can do whatever you please with it.
Just like the necromancer information the summoner article added, this adds depths to the Orc's. For the first time I think I might want to make a Orc character.
